What Is a TRAC Tag?
The TRAC Tag (Tactical Rail-Mounted Ammunition Caliber Tag) is the definitive, patent-pending solution for firearm identification and organization. Invented by Kevin Blake of KAAMB Industries LLC, this system was born from a critical need in the modern firearms community: the ability to instantly and accurately identify a weapon’s configuration without compromising its function or aesthetics.
In today’s modular firearms market, a firearm chambered in .300 Blackout often looks identical to one chambered in 5.56 NATO. The TRAC Tag solves this by utilizing the rail interface itself as a standardized data display point. Unlike laser-engraved ejection port covers which are exclusive to the AR platform, the TRAC Tag is platform agnostic—if your firearm has a rail, you can tag it. This makes it a universal solution for your entire safe, from bolt-action chassis systems to tactical shotguns.
